Martindale Musings.Sam Hicks made a trip to Hyannis, Wednesday. Jesse Schultz and family came in from Page, Nebraska, last Saturday. A dance will be given at the Martindale hall on Saturday evening, February 7th, and of course a good time is assured. Homesteaders met in considerable number at the Martindale hall, last Saturday, to discuss the resurvey under headway near this place. It is reported that on May 15th J.O. Martin will withdraw from the mercantile business at Martindale and after that date Mr. Harrison will be the man behind the counter. Arthur Harrison, the principal of the King School, has purchased a brand new buggy and harness and the young ladies of this vicinity are all casting their eyes toward the buggy. Parties keep coming in looking for government land, and some are trying to rent claims. These hills with the big corn cribs overflowing look good to the fellows coming from drouth stricken districts.
